3-21-2009 - OK, now we're talkin'!?... 5 long awaited days and we're in Dublin! This is the Molly Malone statue (wasn't Molly Malone the ex-wife of Sam Malone on Cheers?!...) Actually it's a statue to commemorate a song which tells the tale of a beautiful fishmonger who plied her trade on the streets of Dublin, but who died young, of a fever. Recently a legend has grown up that there was a historical Molly, who lived in the 17th century. (By the way, Molly's typically represented as a peddler by day and part-time "lady of the night!?" - Awesome!)
