Cyber kid finishes International Tour!
The Cyber Kid at the helm B767ER
(Rome, Italy - Jan 2009)
"Hey! How you doin'?"
Hello friends –
the first quarter of 2009 is behind us!
As you may have heard last quarter, the Cyber Kid was being
displaced off of the NYC 767ER International to fly the ATL
MD88 Domestic. So, The Cyber Kid and
wily monkey companion),
finished up their International stint
with a 3-Day trip to Istanbul, Turkey! ... <cue music>...
Istanbul was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks...
I digress. Istanbul was indeed our last International
destination (for now!?) but we also managed to add Lyon,
France; Amman, Jordan; Frankfurt, Germany; Pisa, Italy and
Dublin, Ireland with repeats visits to Sao Paulo, Brazil
to our list of worldly destinations!? :(
So be sure to check out all the new International pics in
AVIATION ADVENTURES page!!! (including the Sao
Paulo return to a NYC Blizzard!?)
NOTE: At posting, we've begun the Domestic MD-88 training
and looking forward to visiting friends and family in the
larger US cities as well as the opportunity to "grow" the
infamous Hooters Restaurant list (which sort of stagnated on
the International circuit!) Be sure to watch this
space for updates, pics and News!?
Outside the cockpit, I
was able to get some time in early
April to grab Alex (Little
Dude) and Cheeky (Monkey) and, utilizing the "company" plane, hit Daytona Beach for a
little impromptu visit prior to MD-88 class!
were had by
all, hanging out with FUBAR Hall of Famer Mark “Armadillo” as
well as Maria "SuperFan" and Bachi (GrandMa for you scoring at home!?)
The mini-FUBAR Upper Management Conference was
a big hit as the kids hit the beach, campus,
movies and of course Mickey's home!
was a major success as Mark and I
once again discussed our plans for world domination,
cooked on the grill till the cows came home (to be eaten :o), enjoyed
mass quantities of donut holes (don't ask!?) and a few days of
obligatory PS3 Star Wars action!?....
Even Little Dude got in on the action trying his hand at dog training
and suggesting grilled meatballs (tasty) with our pasta!?...
Here's a few additional pictures
from the week long festivities -
In other sibling news, Jessica was unable to attend
the Florida travels but she has been busy growing and having fun
nonetheless. Wrestling with Alex has become a favorite "pastime"
and saying "NO!" to just about everything else sums up most days!? - She
does however eat like it's the last food we're ever going to bring!?...
However, she WAS afforded a "rare" opportunity when Alex decided he
wanted to "allow" his little sister to go visit Thomas the Tank Engine
with him & The Cyber Kid this year. Jessica thought the train was
really cool at around 50 yards BUT, at distances of less than 10 feet -
Not so much! She had a great time (both visits) however and
enjoyed the small (Free) tractor-train ride they provided! Now she
wants her big brother to break out the Thomas toys so she can re-live
all the fun times!?...
Be sure to check out all the NEW pictures of Alex & Jessica's adventures
this past quarter in their respective Photo Albums and YouTube
